To me, the moving image is the best way to tell a story. And at our best, we are storytellers. Sure, we are in advertising, so we are also selling stuff. But it’s the great storytellers who are the greatest salespeople. The people who get that are the people I want to collaborate with. Telling a story successfully in thirty seconds is a craft. It takes a team. The producer is the linchpin of that team. We listen, we nurture, and we get it done.
Producing is not for the faint of heart. I believe it takes a management style that falls somewhere between Mother Teresa and Margaret Thatcher. Kindness, wrapped in nerves of steel.
Most importantly, I believe in moving forward. I love finding new technologies, new talent, and new ways to push budgets beyond what was considered possible. All without compromising quality. Ever. Some would call it pulling off miracles. I call it being a producer.
